A useful feature of the Gmail interface is Search drop-down box that makes it easier to find emails. You can try it out in 3 quick steps:

1. To make the Box visible, click on the light gray arrow on the right side of the search box:

   

2. A drop down dialog will appear, with various options for narrowing your selection:

   

3. Once you’ve specified the options you want to search for, click the blue search icon. You should now see a list of emails that match your criteria:

   

This feature can be used in a variety of ways, including some advanced ones like creating filters for automatically labeling and organizing your emails, which we can cover in future Tips of the Week.
